Operators can now enjoy simpler, faster and more flexible integration of new network elements into one consolidated Operational Support System (OSS). Nokia Siemens Networks has launched the industry’s first open Integration Center based on its management system, NetAct, to minimize the time and costs of integration.
“Our Integration Center builds the foundation for a common integration platform for operators, equipment manufacturers and third party system integrators to work cohesively toward a more simplified telecom network,” said Shamir Shoham, head of product management for Business Solutions at Nokia Siemens Networks. “It will simplify the integration work required to transform network operations centers into service operations centers. The simplified integration process will allow operators to roll out new services more quickly.”
Nokia Siemens Networks’ Integration Center comprises a software development kit and a public cloud-based test environment to enable faster integration of different types of software and hardware platforms into its NetAct network management system. Operators and independent system integrators simply need to get a license to use the full integration center. The aim is to reduce the costs of off-line testing in operators’ laboratories, and eliminate the risks of introducing immature integrations to live networks*.
Customers, press and analysts are welcome to see Nokia Siemens Networks’ Integration Center at its Experience Center in Hall 8, C01 of the 2011 Mobile World Congress, 14-17 February, Fira de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain.
